Elevating Excellence through Quality Enhancement Cell

The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) at Rehman College of Nursing (RCN) acts as a catalyst for positive change, assisting us in our pursuit of excellence and the attainment of global standards in education. Aligned with the objectives of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), QEC fosters a culture of continuous improvement in our institution, ensuring that we consistently strive for the highest quality in all aspects of education.

In today’s interconnected world, internet is playing a significant role in bringing people from all corners of the globe closer together. This has had a profound impact on higher education institutions, which now face the challenge of creating academic programs that prepare their graduates to thrive and compete on a global scale. Recognising the importance of this task, the HEC has taken the initiative to develop assessment methods that evaluate the quality of academic programs. To address this objective, the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) of the HEC, in collaboration with the National Quality Assurance Committee (NQAC), has made Quality Enhancement Cells (QECs) mandatory in all higher education institutions.

QECs have a primary goal of strengthening the internal quality assurance process within each university. They place a special emphasis on enhancing the quality of higher education, aiming to bridge the gap between the existing level of educational quality and the desired level of excellence. The establishment of QECs signifies a commitment to improving the quality of higher education by implementing robust quality assurance mechanisms. The QECs collaborate with faculty members, staff, and students to identify areas for improvement and implement effective strategies to elevate the quality of education. The creation of QEC demonstrates a commitment to ensuring that higher education institutions in the country are well-equipped to provide top-notch education that prepares graduates to excel in a rapidly changing global landscape.
