The Rehman College of Nursing (RCN) organized an inter-college Naat and Qirat competition, bringing together students from various nursing and medical institutions across the city to celebrate the art of Islamic recitation.
The event, arranged by the RCN Literary Society, featured soulful recitations of the Holy Quran and Naats in praise of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). Faculty members and students attended the gathering, which was noted for its spiritual and respectful atmosphere.
In the Naat competition, Farhan Ali from Khyber Medical University (KMU) secured the first position. Hajra from Rufaida College of Nursing stood second, while Suhana Yasmin from RCN achieved the third position.
The Qirat (Holy Quran recitation) category saw Qazi Azeem Ullah from the Institute of Health Sciences (IHS) clinching the top spot. Muhammad Usman Khan from the KP Institute of Medical Sciences followed in second place, and Atta Ur Rehman from RCN secured the third position.
The performances were evaluated by a panel of judges including Mufti Fayaz Ahmad Durrani and Qari Abdul Rauf for the Qirat category, while Hafiz Naeem Shah and Qari Masood judged the Naat Khwani session. The judges commended the participants for their dedication and the quality of their delivery.
