Complaint/Grievances Redressal Committee

The Complaint/Grievances Redressal Committee comprises of the following members

Principal of the College

Member

Any Senior Member of the faculty appointed by the principal

Student Affairs Officer

The RCN Grievance/complaints Redressal Committee will consider the complaints of students, staff and faculty regarding academic matters, non-academic matters, assessment, victimization, discipline committee decision, harassment, conduct of examinations, service matters and any other grievances which may be determined by the competent authority.

Objectives

The objective of the Complaint/Grievances committee is to address and resolve complaints and gravedances of the students, staff, faculty and other stockholders in fair, transparent and timely manner.

Terms of Reference of the Committee

  • The committee will deal all type of grievances of students, their parents/general public, faculty and employees.
  • It will provide proper opportunity to complainant to express their dissatisfaction freely and openly without fear of being bullied.
  • Will ensure that there is no reprisal of any kind against any applicant, witness, or any other participant in the grievance redressal process by reason of such participation in the grievance process.
  • Furthermore, the committee will protect the privacy and confidentiality of all parties during the inquiry.
  • The committee will submit its decision/ recommendation, within a period of seven working days from the date of receipt of the complaint/grievance.
  • The college principal/director may approve the findings of the committee.
  • No appeal by a student unless it is presented within fifteen days from the date on which the decision is communicated to him/her provided that the RMI CEO may, for valid reasons, extend this period.

Appeal

  • An appeal against a punishment, or complaints of students, staff and faculty regarding academic matters, non-academic matters, assessment, victimization, discipline committee decision, harassment, conduct of examinations, service matters and any other grievances shall be received by the secretary and submitted to the Convener of the Appellate Committee
  • The committee shall deal and decide on the appeal with in a week of receiving it.
  • The recommendations should be submitted to the RMI CEO for consideration/approval/order or refer it to the next higher authority, as the case may be.
