Scope / Career Prospect
Nurses constitute the largest portion of a healthcare team and are therefore considered backbone of any healthcare system. Most countries face a shortage of nurses, and there are numerous job opportunities for qualified nurses, both at national and international levels.
Nurses provide protective, promotive, curative, and rehabilitative healthcare, both independently and collaboratively, to individuals, groups, families, and communities both within and outside healthcare facilities.
The services of nurses are not only required in all healthcare institutions but are also integral to other governmental and non-governmental organisations. School health services, community health services, public health services, and health policy planning and administration are a few notable areas where the services of nurses are in high demand.
In addition to these areas, nursing professionals are also involved in teaching, research, curriculum planning, and development to regulate nursing education and practice.
